Ripple Player

Albums, front to back.

A record player for your Apple Music albums. For iPhone and iPhone Duo.

Coming soon to the App Store. £4.99, once.

Ripple Player on iPhone Duo, open like a laptop: the shelf stands up with Paper Moons pulled out, and the record plays on the turntable below.

Put a record on.

Pull a sleeve from the shelf and it plays from the first track to the last. No shuffle, no playlists, nothing queued behind it.

The arm keeps your place
It moves across the record as the album plays, so you can see how far in you are.
Move the needle by hand
Lift the arm and set it down on another track.
It ends like a record
The needle settles into the run-out groove, then the arm goes home.
iPhone Duo open like a laptop, seen from the front left, with a record playing.

Only whole albums.

Your shelf holds the albums you’ve saved in full, spine by spine. Add one in Apple Music, or straight from Ripple’s search, and it takes its place.

iPhone Duo lying open and flat: the shelf of spines on one half, the turntable on the other.
Ripple Player on iPhone: the back of Paper Moons’ sleeve, its ten tracks listed, above the turntable. The back of a sixty-track album, every track listed in four columns.

Turn it over for the tracks.

While a record plays, tap its sleeve and it turns over to the back: the track list, set like a real sleeve. Tap again to turn it back.

Ten tracks or sixty, the back always fits.

Water that hears the music.

The turntable floats on dark water. Play out loud and it ripples with the music, with your shelf reflected on the surface.

Listening is optional. It only happens while a record plays, and nothing leaves your phone.

Made for iPhone Duo.

Open it like a laptop. The shelf stands up, the turntable lies flat, and the water reflects your records as the hinge moves. Close it on the record and it keeps playing under a glass lid.
